Temporary Tonyrefail Road Closure

A temporary closure of the main A4119 will occur near Tonyrefail next month to complete the major highways investment programme which has taken place in the area.

Contractors will carry out remedial works to the surfacing of the road which suffered erosion during the recent inclement weather.

In order for the work to be carried out, a closure of the road is necessary from 6am to 6pm on Sunday March 21st and Sunday March 28th 2010.

The section of road undergoing works stretches from the Coedely Roundabout of the A4119 to the Parc Erin Roundabout. Traffic will be diverted through Coedely to Thomastown while the work is underway.

The closure will also take place on subsequent Sundays from April 11th to April 25th 2010 or until the works are complete.

Remedial Roadworks A4119.

If the traffic is diverted thro' Tylchawen then we're in for another
round of traffic chaos,road rage,ambulances unable to deliver sick patients to Royal Glam
and Police vehicles unable to attend scenes of crime, it happens every time when road works are planned for the A4119 Ton bypass.The first to be organised should be the parking of vehicles in Tylchawen, this is never done,the result is a complete blockage of the road. I have reported this at the PACT meetings but it's a complete waste of time NOBODY IN
AUTHORITY WANTS TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To all my friends out there keep away from Tylchawen when the work starts.
