THE EGG WELL
at the turn of the last century, every year there was a pilgrimage from tonyrefail to the egg well every whitsun monday. every generation of a family would make the journey to drink the water from the well which was reputed to have medicinal properties

BRONZE AGE BURIAL MOUNDS
these burial mounds are situated within yards of each other near the top of the forestry and date back between 2700 years and 4100 years
farming and increasing encroachment of civilization into the country side has destroyed most mounds but these, due to their location are some of the best surviving mounds in the area
