google earth uses satellite imagery, maps and the power of googles search to put the whole worlds geographic information at your fingertips. in plain terms you can use this simple and free computer program to see ariel photography of the whole world. you can search for well known landmarks or just enter a post code into the search panel and it zooms straight into that address. you can then zoom in & out, pan left and right to see the picture from different angles or tilt the picture.
a lot of the uk and the rest of the world still needs high quality photos adding, luckily Tonyrefail and most of south Wales has now been updated. this program really is worth downloading.. it is stunning in both its ease of use and quality of pictures.
throughout these pages and among the pages on the rest of the web site you will see links saying “click here to open -------- in google earth” if you’ve already got google earth installed clicking on these will automatically open it and take you to that place. |
