	a dark past : a selection of rhondda murders by elaine hawkins & april evans features several murders around the rhondda valleys although none where in tonyrefail, one, the murder of jane lewis in 1862 at tyntyla who is burried at ainon chapel in waunrhydd road.

	sadly out of print now this 1997 book is a fascinating view of our village from the prehistoric and middle ages through to modern day. like a history of tonyrefail it really is worth registering a request with amazon as it is probably your only chance of finding a copy.
