After a request from a member on the late open page forums I took these photos of an area above Coedely. that’s got to through a track along the side of the old battlefields.
these photos where taken on the very frost morning of January 22nd 2006.
Starting at the old kissing gates at the Tydu lane end of the battlefields theres a crossroads. one path crosses the battlefield, one passes the farm down to Tydu lane and the third is the one to follow for the silver bridge.
it has a very unusual sty built into the wall next to the gate.. the first ive see in Tonyrefail
some views over Coedely and Tonyrefail that can be seen from the fields around the old bridge
After a fairly long walk you come to the entrance to the field where the bridge is.
The bridge lays at the bottom of a hill, this gate is at the top of the hill and leads into further open fields
No more than a few meters walk from the bridge is this gate, although im not sure i believe it leads to Coedely... if anyone knows could you please let me know
